The noise-compensating, dynamic microphone with a gooseneck for open face helmets ensures excellent speech intelligibility, even in loud helmets and at high speeds. The noise-canceling near-field microphone features a directivity characteristic that reduces ambient noise caused by engine noise and wind turbulence (so-called wind bubbles or wind noise) with over 16dB. When transmitted into wind speed, the noise level at the microphone is reduced from 160 km/h to 60 km/h. Thus, speaking remains audible even under noisy and windy conditions.
