Permanent installation of the 5-pin DIN panel jacks provides the look of a high-quality manufacturer's original equipment and protects the communication cables from excessive stress. The socket is installed either in the trim or in the rear of the seat, however a 12V on-board socket can also be replaced by the installation socket.
The 5-pin wires plus shielding are connected through 1:1, whereby the DIN plug connections and cable wires are compatible with all 5-pin communication and connection cables. In addition, the flexible cable is shielded and thus protects against interfering, motor-related radio interference. A grooved plastic cap, which is equipped with a return spring, protects against heavy splash water.
